Questions
The things people ask before they get in touch.
23 answers, grouped. Where the honest answer is that it depends on your business, it says so — that is what the intro call is for.
Getting started
What actually happens between an enquiry and someone starting work.
What happens after I send an enquiry?
We read it and come back to arrange a short call — fifteen complimentary minutes, and a conversation, not a pitch. Most of what we need in order to place someone well comes out of that first call, so there is no intake form to fill in beforehand.
Do I have to know what I need before I get in touch?
No, and most people do not. It is enough to describe what keeps running out of time. Working out which of the three levels the work actually needs is our job, not a prerequisite for talking to us.
How long does it take to have someone working?
It depends on the role and how specific the requirements are, so you get a realistic answer on the call instead of a number on a web page that would be wrong for half the people reading it. What we can say is what the sequence is: intro call, fit assessment, service recommendation, talent matching, then agreement and onboarding. All five steps are set out on how we work.
Can I speak to the person before agreeing to anything?
Yes. You meet the professional being proposed before any agreement is signed. A match can look right on paper and wrong in conversation, and that step is there to catch it.
The people
Who Nira places, how they are assessed, and what happens if a match is wrong.
How are professionals vetted?
We assess for experience, communication, reliability and role fit before anyone is put forward for anything. People do the assessment, not a marketplace filter, and it runs in both directions — we also assess the role and the working environment the person is going into, because a well-qualified professional in the wrong seat helps nobody.
Where are Nira professionals based?
In South Africa. That is a deliberate choice, not an accident of where the company was registered, and the case for it — English proficiency, a time zone that does not shift, and what the sector data actually says — is set out with every figure cited on why South Africa.
Am I employing this person?
No. The professional is engaged through Nira and the arrangement is set out in writing before anyone starts. What that means for your own business depends on where you are, and we are not tax or legal advisers — see our terms. If your accountant wants the arrangement described in detail so they can advise you properly, ask us and we will put it in writing.
What if the match is not working?
Tell us early. Most problems at that stage come down to scope or expectations, not the person, and both are fixable in a conversation. If the match itself is genuinely wrong, we would rather rematch than have you work around it — how that works is agreed up front, in your service agreement, so you are not relying on a promise made on a web page.
Will I always work with the same person?
Yes, that is the intention — support arranged by hours a week only works if the same professional builds up knowledge of your business. The same person also carries across when a business moves up a level, so you pay the cost of bringing somebody up to speed once, and not again at every step.
Working together
Hours, overlap, tools and what you can expect day to day.
What hours will they work?
Hours are agreed before anyone starts. South Africa runs on UTC+2 and does not observe daylight saving, so whatever overlap you agree stays the same all year — and where a schedule needs to reach further into your day, we move the start time and leave the arrangement alone. The overlap is drawn out hour by hour for five cities, from London to Sydney, on why South Africa — including the markets where the honest answer is that somewhere else would suit you better.
How do we communicate?
Through whatever you already use. Your professional works in your tools — email, calendar, chat, CRM, project tracker — and nobody will ask you to adopt something new for their convenience.
How do I know the hours are being used well?
Scope is agreed up front and reviewed as the business changes, so the answer is normally visible in the work itself. If you want something more formal than that, say so on the intro call and we will agree what reporting looks like before anyone starts.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is part of the agreement, and access to your systems is set up during onboarding at the level the role actually needs. How Nira itself handles your data is set out in our privacy policy.
Can the work change once we have started?
It usually does, and that is expected. Scope is agreed at the start so that both sides know what was intended, not to freeze it — most businesses start with administration and grow into customer, CRM or operations work with the same person.
Cost and commitment
What is published, what is confirmed on a call, and why.
How much does it cost?
Support starts from $10/hour, in US dollars. Beyond that the figure depends on which level the work needs and what sits inside it, so we confirm it on a short call. A printed table would be wrong for half the businesses reading it. The three levels and everything they cover are set out on the pricing page.
Why are the package prices not on the website?
Because the honest number depends on the work. A published price for "thirty hours" would either be high enough to cover every case or low enough to be renegotiated on the call, and we would rather understand the work and quote it once. The starting rate is public precisely so nobody has to guess at the order of magnitude.
Can we change levels later?
Yes, and most businesses do. The levels exist so that support can grow with the business; the same professional carries across when it does.
How is website design priced?
Separately, and not by the hour. Website design and development is coordinated through trusted development partners and quoted per project — tell us what the site needs to do and we come back with scope, timeline and cost.
How is invoicing handled?
In US dollars, against the level and scope agreed in your service agreement. The specifics — schedule, method and terms — are confirmed in that agreement before anything starts, so nothing is assumed from a web page.
About Nira
Reasonable questions about a company you have not heard of.
How long has Nira been operating?
Nira Talent Co. was registered in March 2026. We would rather say that plainly than imply a longer history, and it is the same reason there are no client counts, retention percentages or testimonials anywhere on this site — those numbers do not exist yet, and the ones you see elsewhere in this industry are rarely sourced.
Do you publish testimonials or case studies?
Not yet, for the reason above. When there are clients willing to be named, they will appear with their names on them. In the meantime the things we can prove are the things this site argues with: a published starting rate, a stated process, and every statistic carrying a link to its source.
Do you give tax, legal or accounting advice?
No. We can describe how the arrangement works so that your own adviser can act on it, but Nira does not provide tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and nothing on this site should be read as any of those.
Something here is out of date or wrong. Will you fix it?
Yes, and we would like to know. Every statistic on this site carries the date it was last verified and the source it came from, and anything we cannot re-verify comes off the page — that policy is written down in full in our editorial policy. Email hello@niratalent.com.

Not here?
Ask us directly. A short question by email is fine, and it does not commit you to a call — hello@niratalent.com, or use the enquiry form.
