Why this page exists
This site makes claims about South African talent, remote work and business support. Some of those claims are backed by a statistic, and a lot of the images on the site are not photographs of anyone real. Both of those facts deserve to be stated plainly rather than left for a visitor to guess at, so this page sets out how we source what we publish and what we won’t claim.
Sourcing and dating statistics
Every statistic published on this site links to its primary source, and carries the date that source was last verified. A figure without a source behind it is a claim, not a statistic, so we don’t publish numbers we can’t point to. If a source can no longer be re-verified — the underlying page moves, the data is withdrawn, or it simply ages out of relevance — the figure comes off the site. We’d rather have fewer statistics than a stale one dressed up as current.
Claims we won’t make
A few claims are common in this industry precisely because they’re hard to source, not because they’re well established. We don’t make them:
- That South Africans generally are “native English speakers” — English proficiency in South Africa is real and well documented, but it varies by individual, region and background, and a blanket claim about an entire population isn’t something we can stand behind.
- Blanket literacy percentages presented as if they describe the professionals Nira places, rather than a national statistic being borrowed for a purpose it wasn’t collected for.
- “Up to 80% savings” or similar headline figures. Cost comparisons like this depend heavily on the role, the market and the comparison being drawn, and a single round number flattens all of that into something we can’t defend on a case-by-case basis.
The photography on this site is AI-generated
Every photographic image on niratalent.com is AI-generated. None of it depicts real Nira staff, real clients or real office locations. We use it as editorial illustration — to give a page a face and a sense of place — and it is never presented as documentary evidence of who works at Nira, who Nira works with, or where. We’ve chosen to say this outright rather than let a visitor assume otherwise, because the alternative is a site that looks like it’s showing you real people when it isn’t.
Authorship and review
Content on this site is written and reviewed by the Nira Talent team and published under the company name rather than an individual byline. That reflects how the work is actually done — collectively, and reviewed before it goes live — rather than attributing it to one person for the sake of a byline.
Corrections
If you spot a figure that looks wrong, a source that no longer supports what we’ve said, or anything else that needs fixing, tell us athello@niratalent.com and we’ll look into it.
